Format of Energy Audit Report

We start with an executive summary of: energy services provided, our findings, infrared images, and recommendations. In this summary, we provide detailed costs, savings, rebates, and explanation of the work processes to be performed.

We will also address any of the concerns our clients may have regarding areas needing special focus.

Next comes the breakdown of the technical information: your energy usage compared to a home of comparable size and location. We will determine when your peak energy use occurs from your past energy bills, and provide recommendations for lowering usage.

We recommend performing a blower door test to determine the "tightness" of your property. This test depressurizes the home and provides information regarding the amount of air in your home that exchanges every hour, and with our infrared camera technology, we can diagnose exactly where the compromises occur.

The attic and exterior walls are areas we pay special attention to, as these are some common areas of energy compromising voids. Examining windows, cooling systems, water heating, and all doors of the home where common energy loss occurs, are closely examined during the audit.
